Precise
Company

Who is building this.

Precise is a small team that has built and run media infrastructure at industry scale before. The short version of each of us.

Adam HelfgottCo-founder · Chief architect

Adam built MadHive and exited in the $300M Goldman deal at a roughly $1B valuation. Before that he founded the AdLedger consortium in 2017, with IBM and TEGNA as founding members, working on the same question Precise answers now: how decisions in media become provable. In a 2018 Forbes interview he opened by asking the journalist how advertising shifts from covert to overt. Eight years later, same question, further along.

Spencer PottsCEO

Spencer spent 25 years raising institutional capital before joining MadHive as President in 2018. He became MadHive's CEO in 2023, ran it through 2025, and moved to Precise as CEO in October 2025. He has also sat on the board of RIVER FUND, a Queens anti-poverty nonprofit, for fifteen years, since before his ad-tech career began.

Matt BarlinChief Science Officer

Matt is a naval architect by training: Webb Institute, then a master's at MIT. He spent five years as lead systems engineer at BlockScience, where he co-authored token-economics research published in IEEE Computer in 2021 and "Evidence Based Decision Making in Blockchain Economics," with Michael Zargham and collaborators, on arXiv. Before any of that he taught AP calculus and physics for eleven years, and he once model-tested a mine-sweeping hovercraft. The methodology brief describes his machine; he would rather you check it than admire it.

Jordan CauleyProduct

Jordan spent eight years running product and delivery at Mediavine, a publisher platform serving more than 16,000 sites and roughly 15 billion ad impressions a month. Seventeen years of shipping web and product, with the public code to show for it. He builds the box the other pages describe.

Backed by operators who run the industry's rails.

We name our investors to counterparties in diligence, not on a website.

The through-line is nine years long.

The same people have kept insisting on one thing since 2017: decisions in media should carry proof. A consortium for it, then a platform, and now the record layer that makes it normal. Media first, because that is the industry we know cold; the machine itself works wherever there is a workflow and an outcome. The loop is in production on live campaign spend today; graded results are shared in diligence, not on websites.
